Mujeres Who Lead

There are some events you show up to—and then there are the ones that remind you why you show up in the first place.
Mujeres Who Lead was one of those events I’ll carry in my heart for a long time. I had the absolute honor of capturing the day in full photographer mode, and while I didn’t take a single selfie or phone photo (🤳🏽😭), I was completely present—and that felt like the whole point.
Thank you to the powerhouse hosts, @caffetodomujer + @cafe.sone, for creating a space so rooted in cultura, comunidad, and connection. The food by @lade_lostacos? Chef’s kiss 🌮✨
A heartfelt shoutout to our keynote speaker @lililizalde and the amazing panelists:
Thank you for pouring your stories, expertise, and corazón into that room. It’s a powerful thing to witness mujeres who look like us, live like us, and lead like us taking up space boldly and unapologetically.
Even though it felt like we spent hours together, I didn’t get the chance to truly catch up with everyone—and still, I walked away so full. These are the women I’ve grown to love deeply. This is my chosen family. 💃🏽
To the Jefas I hugged, the ones I missed, and the ones cheering from afar—you are my why. This community is a living reminder that we’re not meant to do this alone. We’re building something beautiful, juntas.
Las amo de todo cora.
Con amor,
Kita 🙋🏽♀️
P.S. If your Jefa bestie was at this event or NEEDS to be at the next one, send her this blog post, so she can catch a glimpse into the community she’ll get to join. 💬💖
